Kit contains goggles complete with fitted lenses as well as three replacement lenses and a cloth carrying case. The goggles are made of a very light foam rubber, with an elasticated strap. Lenses are of different colours, dark green for very bright days, light green for normal days, red for night missions and clear for dusty and windy conditions.
 
Manufactured by Polaroid Corparation and subsequently the American Optical Company, these googles were introduced to the US forces in 1943 and have been a staple ever since.
